Mountain hut Uskovnica

The Uskovnica mountain hut is situated on the lower part of the vast Uskovnica mountain pasture, which is the south-eastern part of the Pokljuka plateau. The hut was completely renovated in 2021.

The catering room has 60 seats and a counter; the 7 rooms (1 is suitable for disabled persons) are equipped with bathrooms and have 13 beds, and the shared rooms have 17 beds (the sanitary facilities are shared). The catering room and the rooms are heated (underfloor heating). The hut is electrified and connected to the water supply.

The cottage has a beautiful view on all sides, which is even better if you walk a few minutes up to the trough or chapel.

Access
By car: forest road from Srednja vas to Lom mountain 7km, from here to the hut 20 minutes’ walk; from the car park at Rudne polje it is a good 30-minute walk. We suggest using the free and affordable possibilities of using environmentally friendly forms of transport – sustainable mobility in the municipality of Bohinj.
